There has been a Methodist Church in Littleover since 1867. Currently, the church is incredibly active in the local community, with hundreds of people participating in a range of activities held in its community rooms throughout the week.
However, with the growing interest in the facility, the community rooms were unable to provide capacity, with diminishing storage space and poor disabled access. With the roof in need of some attention and additional outbuildings in a state of despair, the active church group welcomed funding from Biffa Award to repair their much-loved facility.
Thanks to a grant of £48,600 from Biffa Award and a number of other funding providers, the poor quality community rooms and scout hut to the rear of the church have now been demolished and replaced with an incredible purpose built, two storey community facility.
