New windows make community hall more energy efficient and inviting

With a jampacked timetable of activities and sessions, Polesworth Memorial Hall is really well used by its local community.

The hall’s metal framed windows were 65 years old, badly corroded and either stuck open or shut. Many of the lower windows panes were broken and boarded up causing the outside of the building to look unsightly and the inside of the building to feel dark and claustrophobic.

Biffa Award fully funded the removal of the old windows and the purchase and installation of 30 new UPVC windows coming to £16,880. The centre is now much more inviting, light and energy efficient
