Fact File
Newman Collard Playing Field has been completely restored after a £75,000 grant from Biffa Award. The project replaced the old, tired equipment and created an accessible, multi-functional park. The new equipment was chosen after consultation with local children, and seeks to promote imaginative play. The park’s layout has been specifically designed to encourage a high level of social interaction, and it is already the go-to destination for the local community to interact – whether they are young enough to play on the playground or not! A fantastic project for a fantastic place.
Designed following input from local children, our ambition is to create a space for children of all ages and abilities and their families to enjoy. I think we've succeeded - and I look forward to local children and their families enjoying the park for many years to come - Dorothy Collard, chairman of Newman Collard Playing Field Trust
