Fact File
Beulah Baptist Church was able to completely transform its ‘tired’ and ‘dated’ kitchen thanks to a £30,000 grant from Biffa Award. The renovation included the relocation of an internal wall – opening up the kitchen to create a more usable space, as well as the installation of new windows and units. Over the years, the kitchen has gradually received more and more use. It was created at a time when it saw light use – mostly serving tea, cakes and light lunches – but today regularly provides hot meals for around 45 people. The new kitchen will increase the opportunities available for the community.
We are very keen to continue to serve our local community as effectively as we can, and an up to date, efficient kitchen will enable us to increase opportunities for people to meet together.
