A Grade II listed hangar built for the First World War was restored and repurposed as an aerospace museum and public conservation workshop thanks to a £547,277 Biffa Award grant.

Exhibits at the new Aerospace Bristol visitor attraction will include historic aeroplanes, replica aircraft, engines and aircraft memorabilia. Its centrepiece will be a spectacular Concorde Alpha Foxtrot which made its final flight into Filton Airfield in November 2003.

Visitors will be able to enjoy live conservation work taking place on historic aircraft including the Bristol Freighter, Fighter, and Bolingbroke.
