In a quiet corner of Suffolk, the RSPB's exciting plans to transform an overgrown, forgotten site into its first dedicated wildlife garden came to fruition with thanks to £49,350 funding from Biffa Award.

The 'Flatford Wildlife Garden' comprises many important wildlife habitats, such as wildflower and grass meadows, woodland areas, flower boarders and an orchard. Complete with interpretation panels, it is now an accessible, free community space, where people can relax, enjoy and learn about wildlife gardening.

They scooped the Recreation prize at the Biffa Awards 2012.
