Biffa Award #ShowUsYourPlaque photo competition
09 December 2013

Thank you to everyone who Tweeted, Facebooked and emailed in their pictures for our very first competition #ShowUsYourPlaque.  By the end of November, we’d received photos from projects across the UK, including church halls, science centres, museums, village halls, and sports clubs. Even the Biffa Award Board got involved.

From these great entries we decided on 3 runners up and one overall winner.

Congratulations to the Butterfly Conservation whose picture above saw them edge ahead of the other entries. Their picture includes some of the team from Painswick Valley in the South West, where they’re restoring limestone grassland to support the Large Blue & Duke of Burgundy butterflies as part of their Biffa Award funded ‘Conserving the Painswick Valley’s rare butterflies’ project.

To find out more about this project and the work of the Butterfly Conservation, why not check out their website: http://butterfly-conservation.org/

Congratulations must also go to our Runners Up; Acton Play Project and Leisure Events (A.P.P.L.E), The Robey Trust Ltd and Crowhurst Park Cricket Club who’s entries can be found via our social media pages, look out for the hashtag #ShowUsYourPlaque.

The winner and runners up will all receive a Biffa Award goodie bag and everyone who took part will receive a Biffa Award branded pen.
